What is Express Returns?

Express Returns enables easier returns at over 1,000 locations nationwide using just a QR code—no printing, packaging, or shipping required. 

Just drop off your unpackaged item—we’ll package and ship it back to the retailer in a consolidated returns box to cut down on cardboard waste and carbon emissions. It’s the most sustainable way to make a return!

How do I drop off my return?

If you have an Express Returns QR code, you can return at any Express Returns location. Currently, all Staples stores support Express Returns nationwide. Just head over to the Shipping Center, show your QR code to the Staples associate, hand over your items, and you’re all set!

Where can I find the return QR code to make my return?

Your QR code can be found in your return confirmation email.

I was also given a preprinted shipping label for my return. Do I need this label to make an Express Return?

No, you don’t need a shipping label.

All you need for an Express Return is the QR code provided during your returns initiation. Just have the Staples associate scan that code, hand them your items, and you’re all set.

Do I need to package my items for shipping?

No. Just hand your unpackaged items to the Staples associate—we’ll handle the packaging for you. 

When do I get my refund?

Your refund will be processed according to the usual timeline and return policy of the retailer. This may be when the return is received in their warehouse.

I’m having trouble with the returns portal. What should I do?

We’re sorry to hear you’re having trouble! Please reach out to the Customer Service team at the retailer you purchased from. They should be able to get you squared away!
